We were not looking for something new. We were looking for the perfect light.
Traditional wax candles create a beautiful atmosphere, but disappear after just a few evenings. Spilled wax, smoke and empty jars made us feel that modern interiors deserved something more durable and refined.
We decided to combine the technology of durable microfibres with the simplicity of refined steel, pure mineral oil and glass. This is how Oliensa was created.
We did not reinvent fire. We simply gave it a form that does not lose its shape, does not leave a mess and lasts for years.

When we first saw how steel candle technology worked, we knew it was the future of light for the home. We also knew that we wanted to give it our own distinctive character.
